Installation for artist Ali Momeni and the show All Around Us at the Wood Street Galleries in Pittsburgh, with help from beekeeper Jeff Shaw oF Burgh Bess. Each hive had a long clear tube that allowed the bees to travel between the hive and the downtown skyline. The bees posed an interesting design challenge as they are very sensitive to environmental changes. If they don’t like the hive they can easily abandon it in search of another home.
